A fine example of an English Kentian Period Looking Glass / Mirror in Superbly Carved Wood unusually retaining the original white decoration .
Note : The Superbly and Realistic Carved " Lions Face " to the Bottom of the Frame .
Generally in the 18th Century , Looking Glasses were Gilded to add glamour to otherwise dimly lit rooms - this fine example of paintwork was likely to have been an integral part of the room paintwork decorations .
