This exceptional vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver butter dish has a rectangular rounded form.
The surface of this sterling silver dish is plain and unembellished.
The body of the dish is ornamented with a plateaued applied gadroon decorated border to the rim, accented with a scrolling leaf motif to each corner.
This silver butter dish with glass liner is fitted with a hallmarked push fit cover surmounted with a cast sterling silver finial reflecting the same design as the leaf motifs to the rim.
This impressive dish is fitted with an impressive glass liner.
