A rare mahogany cased "Weymouth Pattern" Whitehead torpedo gyroscope, produced by the Royal Gun Factory, Woolwich, dated 1903.

Also known as an Obry gear. Patented in 1894 by Lodovico (Ludwig) Obry from Trieste.
