A small, very original solid oak longcase clock from Kent having great colour and proportions. This clock is unusual as it is of small proportions, yet the clock is of 8 day duration (most clocks this size are 30 hour). It has a flat top, a square dial, turned hood columns and capitals and a long door. The 12 inch brass dial has an engraved and silvered chapter ring, a subsidiary seconds dial and an engraved name plate signed, William Flint, Charing. It has an 8 day movement that sounds the hours on a bell. William Flint was born in 1733 and died in 1795.
The case is in original condition and has lovely patination, the dial has been restored a number of years ago and the movement is to be serviced and guaranteed for 12 months. Delivery and set up for this clock is available. If you would like a video clip of this clock working and striking please email us.
