Fine quality and unusually large 8-inch [210 mm] diameter 19th Century brass-cased aneroid barometer. The well-engraved silvered brass dial with exposed barometer movement bearing twin curved thermometers - mercury Fahrenheit and alcohol Centigrade and Réaumur scales, protected by bevelled plate glass. The case profile exaggeratedly dished. "PHNB" stamp on verso.
