A pair of beautiful George II cast Sterling Silver Candlesticks of knopped form with faceted stems on shaped -square bases. They are so elegant and would grace any home. Height 7.08 inches 18 cm, Base 4.33 inches , 11 cm

The candlesticks were given as a gift to The Hon Margaret Davys, daughter of the 1st Viscount Mountcashell , on her marriage to James Barry 5th Earl of Barrymore on 8th June 1738. She subsequently gave them as a gift in 1757 as per the inscription under the base.
