Mantel clock in Louis XVI or Neoclassical style in gilt bronze, on both sides white bisque figures representing Cupid and a Lady symbolising Love after the 18th Century Sèvres porcelain models of the French sculptor Boizot. On the left side Cupid is teaching to Love and on the right side Cupid is taught by Love. "La Lesson de l'Amour" and "La Lesson à L'Amour".
The clockwork set in a octagonal case crowned with doves symbolising Love and on four double rams feet. Fine quality of the bronzes and in good original condition.
