A plain styled antique sterling silver mug of baluster form with a shaped scroll handle with acanthus mount. Excellent quality. Good gauge silver. Hand engraved to the front is a monogram within a decorative cartouche. Contains 500 ml. Weight 411 grams, 13.2 troy ounces. Height 13 cm. Diameter 8.6 cm (top). Spread 13 cm. London 1770. Maker Francis Crump.
This useful silver mug is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. The engraving is still crisp. Stamped with a full set of clear English silver hallmarks underneath. Good colour.
