Chinese Famille Vert Porcelain Brush Pot, Kangxi dynasty (1662-1722), of circular cross section brush pot, the background painted with a lattice small diamond shapes and enclosing two panels, one with a mythical creature, and the other depicting a garden scene, including rocks and a group of narcissus and dianthus flowers. Diameter: Height: 13cm/5.4inches Width: 11cm/4.5inches Depth: 11cm/4.5inches. The symbolic meaning of each flower: Narcissus, may the immortals bring you good luck on your birthday, and Dianthus: are a celebration of love.
Chip from rim which has been restored and very fair hair line. Restored to a very high standard.
