A pen, pencil and watercolour portrait, inscribed by the artist by 'Charles Phillips Esq. Barrister 49 Chancery Lane London drawn by A. Burt at Reading 1834. Within a period rosewood frame. Albin Robert Burt (1784-1842) is an interesting artist in as much as his subjects are often drawn from the lower orders of society or are depicted in their professional garb.
