The beautiful maiden motif on this Pewter Butter Dish is pure Art Nouveau. The design is known on silver by Kate Harris for William Hutton of Sheffield. Some of Harris's designs were later produced by Huttons in pewter, with Connels of Cheapside being retailers for Hutton. Complete with lid and glass liner.

Circa 1910.
