A George III period mahogany silvered dial wall timepiece. The 12in signed, silvered and engraved dial with blued steel hands, surrounded by the moulded wood bezel. The eight day movement has tapered plates and anchor escapement.

John Leroux was based in Charing Cross, London. He was free of the Clockmakers’ Company 1781-1808. An eminent maker, some of his clocks are in important museum collections. His business was succeeded by James Rigby.
