This Splendid George III Meat Dish is of oval form with a plain sunken oval central well which is unembellished. The border is engraved with the armorials and crest of George Hamilton -Gordon. Dimensions 22.5 x 17 inches , 57.15 x 43.18 cm

This antique dish is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in excellent presentation condition.
There are fine knife marks to the surface of the platter, but this is to be expected in keeping with age and does not detract from the aesthetically pleasing appearance of the piece

The Coat of Arms of George Hamilton-Gordon, 4th Earl of Aberdeen, who married in 1805 and was Prime Minister between 1852-1855. Given as a Wedding Present in 1805 from Haddo House Aberdeenshire.
