The Pail has slightly flared sides and a gadrooned rim. The sides are beautifully hand pierced with panels, some with bands of quatrefoils and the others with very unusual trailing foliate designs and stylised flower heads. The arched handle is pierced with ovals and this example has a blue glass liner. The Pail is in excellent condition and is very well marked in the piercing. William Plummer was a specialist pierced worker, producing innovative designs during this period.

Height to the rim: 2.45 inches, 6.13cm.
Diameter at the rim: 3.1 inches, 7.75cm.
