A 12 inch diameter terrestrial Columbus globe dating to the early 1930's. It has 12 gores depicting countries,railways, steamer routes, cables, telegraph lines and caravan routes. Made by Geographia ltd., London. It stands on a heavy embossed cast iron base. Made between 1930 and 1935. This can be determined as it shows Constantinople as Istanbul, established 1930 and Persia is still listed, which became Iran in 1935.
In exceptionally excellent original condition without any wear or damage.
